Best for
Turning an array of JSON records into comma-separated rows for inspection or importing into a spreadsheet.
Private browser tool
Convert a JSON array of objects to CSV free in your browser. See how headers, missing values and nested objects are handled, with no data upload.
Next step
Simple by design
Paste a valid JSON array of objects into Input.
Select JSON to CSV to generate comma-separated rows.
Review headers and values, then copy the result or download the text file.
Practical guidance
Turning an array of JSON records into comma-separated rows for inspection or importing into a spreadsheet.
One header row containing the union of top-level keys, followed by one row per object. Nested arrays and objects remain JSON text inside a cell.
Missing keys and null values become empty cells. Nested objects are not flattened, so review the output before using it in another system.
The second record introduces a city column. The missing city in the first record and the null score in the second become empty cells.
Input
[{"name":"Ada","score":0},{"name":"Lin","score":null,"city":"Ghent"}]
Output
name,score,city
Ada,0,
Lin,,GhentIf your records contain an address object and you need separate street and city columns, flatten those fields before pasting the JSON. This converter keeps nested structures in a single cell, so it does not guess which fields your spreadsheet needs.
Good to know
Use a top-level array containing objects, such as [{"name":"Ada"}]. A single object, an array of primitive values or an array containing null is rejected.
They are serialized as JSON text within a CSV cell. They are not expanded into separate columns. Quotes in those cells are escaped using CSV quoting.
Headers include all top-level keys in their first-seen order. A missing key or a null value becomes an empty cell; false and zero are preserved as text.
The workspace currently downloads text results with a .txt extension. The contents are CSV: save or rename the file with a .csv extension to import it as CSV.
No. CSV quoting handles commas and quotes, but does not neutralize formulas. Review untrusted values beginning with formula characters before opening the CSV in a spreadsheet.
No. This tool processes your file inside your browser and does not send its contents, name or metadata to Filemivo.
Yes. It is free to use and has no artificial file-size limit. Your browser and device memory determine the practical limit.
